बैंक के शोध एवं विश्लेषण समूह में अनुभवी अर्थशास्त्री हैं। यह समूह क्वांटिटेटिव और क्वालिटेटिव रिसर्च तकनीक के माध्यम से अंतरराष्ट्रीय अर्थशास्त्र, व्यापार और निवेश के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर शोध कार्य करता है। ये शोध कार्य अन्य के साथ-साथ, अंतरराष्ट्रीय आर्थिक विकास, व्यापार और निवेश, उद्योग क्षेत्रों के विश्लेषण, वैश्विक और क्षेत्रीय विषयों, राज्य-स्तरीय निर्यात रणनीति पर किए जाते हैं। इन्हें प्रासंगिक आलेखों, कार्यकारी आलेखों और विशेष प्रकाशनों के रूप में प्रकाशित किया जाता है। इन शोध कार्यों में भारत के अंतरराष्ट्रीय संबंधों नए आयाम चिह्नित करने का प्रयास भी किया जाता है। इन शोध प्रकाशनों के अलावा, यह समूह दो न्यूज़लेटर भी प्रकाशित करता है- एक्ज़िमिअस: निर्यात लाभ और कृषि निर्यात लाभ। इसके अलावा, यह समूह केंद्र और राज्य सरकारों को विभिन्न नीतिगत विषयों पर इनपुट प्रदान करता है। साथ ही, ऋण प्राप्तकर्ता देशों की ऋण वहन क्षमता, मैक्रो-इकनॉमिक विषयों और सहभागी देशों के साथ मुक्त व्यापार करारों के लिए भी इनपुट प्रदान करता है।
शोध प्रकाशनों के अलावा, समूह दो समाचार पत्र भी प्रकाशित करता है: एक्ज़िमियस: एक्सपोर्ट एडवांटेज, और एग्री एक्सपोर्ट एडवांटेज। इसके अलावा, समूह केंद्र और राज्य सरकारों को विभिन्न नीतिगत मुद्दों, ऋण प्राप्तकर्ता देशों के ऋण स्थिरता पहलुओं, वृहद-आर्थिक मुद्दों और साझेदार देशों के साथ मुक्त व्यापार समझौतों पर बातचीत के लिए नियमित रूप से जानकारी प्रदान करता है।

The research work, carried out under the broad classification of sector study, country/regional study, state related study, macroeconomic and policy related studies, is published in the form of occasional papers, working papers and books. The Bank's Occasional Paper Series is an attempt to disseminate the detailed findings of research studies to identify avenues for enhancing India's international engagements. The results of the studies can interest exporters, policy makers, industrialists, export promotion agencies as well as researchers.
